Kim Chapiron

Kim launched the collective Kourtrajmé in 1995 along with Romain Gavras through which he directed numerous amazing music videos, short films starring the most influential names coming from rap, electro and cinema : Oxmo Puccino, Justice, Vincent Cassel.

In 2006, his first feature SHEITAN is a cocktail of transgressive and sexy images, dark humour and pure terror, starring Leila Bekhti & Vincent Cassel. The film is selected at Tribeca Film Festival, TIFF and is sold to 40 territories. In 2010, Kim returns to Tribeca and wins the Jury Award with the ferocious juvie prison drama DOG POUND.

In 2014, with SMART ASS, Kim signs a punchy comedy about three students launching a prostitution network in the biggest European Business School. Kim’s collaboration with PHANTASM includes mvs for Brodinski ft. Lil Reek, PNL and lately for the Cambodian rapper Ruthko, in collaboration with PSE charity.

In 2019, he directs ‘Too Hot’, starring Tina Kunakey for his band Pink Noise. The video is awarded at the BMVA for Best Concept and gets 4 nominations at the Berlin Commercial. Last year, he directed a new mv for Pink Noise, entirely crafted in 3D for the track «Sky Cry» which brought him a Music Video Bronze Award at Clio FF and 3 nominations at the Berlin Commercial.

In April 2023, ‘Le Jeune Imam’ co-written with Ladj Ly, was released in theaters.

Kim is now in development of his new feature film with Vixens.
